"Fall"

For the longest time I have always hated "fall." I am not sure when it all happened but I remember in High School sitting out on the lawn at noon hour and hating that time of the year. Why? I am trying to figure that out. I think it is just because I know that winter is coming and things are all dieing and I find it very depressing!
The funny thing is, it is Nathan's favorite time of the year..hunting season.. and football...and he says's "perfect weather". This fall when we were out hunting he just kept saying how much he loved fall and I would just remark how much I hated that season, and he ask my "how can you hate this? look around at all the pretty leaves that are turning colors and the temperature is just right" I just answered "because I know what is coming" he kind of chuckled and said "Don't hold a beautiful October day against January" so that got me thinking. Then this week every morning on the way to the gym my friend would comment on how beautiful the colored leaves were that aliened both sides of the street. So I started to look at them in a different way..they were beautiful..not "just dead" as I had been seeing them. This fall weather has been nice and I am going to try to enjoy it more and look at it through different eyes!
This picture was taken in Cub River Canyon which just happens to be one of the prettiest places in the world and of course it was where I was raised.
