My New Toy...

O.K. how fun should an old lady have with an I-pod touch?? I am not an electronic gadget person..at all, but I LOVE my new toy that I got for Christmas!
You can do so many things with it! It is like having a little computer in your hand. I don't understand it all but if you have a Wi-fi connection (like we do in the house) then I can check my blogs (on Google reader app) I can check out my email. I can figure out my eating points (on my Weight Watcher app)I can check the weather-temp and forecast for us here, Rexburg where Landon is, and Africa where Kendell is!(on the weather channel app)I can check out Facebook (on the facebook app) even though I never write anything there I do read and see what other people are up to occasionally. I have all of the scriptures and all lesson manuals and helps (on the scripture app) I have down loaded a few games to! I have never played the PlayStation, wii, Nintendo etc...but I am really good at reMovem (on the removem app) I have a quiltfab app that helps you figure out how much fabric you need to finish your quilt,I have down loaded some recipes. I have Pandora on an app and I enjoy that to. BUT MY FAVORITE APP IS THE LDS RADIO APP.From there you can have them READ TO YOU...ALL OF THE SCRIPTURES, ALL THE CHURCH MAGAZINES, ALL CONFERENCE TALKS OR YOU CAN LISTEN TO THEIR RADIO PROGRAMING that is like a normal radio station but is very uplifting. It has good stories and songs and talk programing. Since I got my I-pod I have "read" the Dec. and Jan. Ensigns from cover to cover and listened to a lot of the New Era and even the Friend. I have it read the scriptures to me some mornings but I will still read along with it. That has helped get through the Isiah chapters this past week. Then if course you can listen to music on it;) Landon helped me down load a play list while he was home but I hate to say I have not even listened to any music yet because there are to may other fun things to do! Those are a few of the apps on my I-pod that I love. What are some of your favorites??

I got a new phone that has google on it. I have only used it as a phone and to check email and weather but it will do many things, GPS, music, etc. I just haven't got it figured out yet. I was wondering the other day if I couldn't download the scriptures...I'll have to ask my IT guy.

I laughed right out loud when I saw this picture on your blog. That is the very case I have for my phone and that flower is the same flower I had on my phone for months! I now have a photo of my boys in the their Ben 10 Jackets that I made as my screen page. Anyway just thought that was funny that we both chose the same. I also love lds.radio and the ldsscriptures ap. I'm glad you are enjoying your Christmas gift.
