It is January!

So I think I have to say that January is my least favorite month of the year. Nothing to look forward to. The holidays and excitement are over and it is just cold and it snows a lot! I will have to admit that the January's in Utah are much more pleasant than the one's in Idaho were. Last year we never went below 0. In Idaho they would call school off at 25 below 0 and the kids were usually out of school for 2 weeks through out the year due to the temp and the wind blowing the roads shut. So I should be used to "hunker'in down" and just learn to take a long winters nap or something. I have a friend who puts a quilt on every January to help pass the time. My trouble with that is it will still be on the NEXT January also. I have a few projects up my sleeve and I guess I should just get them out and get working on them or maybe just curl up by the fire with a good book. I have always said "If I can live through January I can live through anything."

Snow is the one thing that I do not miss from my days in Idaho and Utah. The only problem we have is that it snows all around us and we have a hard time going anywhere in the winter except up and down the valley.

I could've cried when it started snowing & it's still snowing. We had just got the siding for the new part of the house & it is sitting under tons of snow. Some of it is in the garage, taking up a whole bay, sigh. Dogsitting is at least getting me out every day, snow or not, to feed & water the dog. I've got some projects up my sleeve too, but where to start???

I agree, January is the bleakest month of the year. It doesn't have any fun holidays (after New Years) and it's just too cold. And then all the stores put in their spring merchandise and give you spring fever, but you know there are at least 2 more months of snow to come.

January is not my favorite either. I have my project list like everyone else and yes, some of the those show up next year. Ever year I say I will get it all done. ha ha
Hang in there.
