When I was a young girl peaches were a real treat! We could not grow them in Idaho. But we had all the apples you could imagine. I remember thinking how fun it would be to be able to grow your own peaches and watermelon. Well here we are- we can grow our own peaches and watermelon! I do have to say it is fun to just walk out back and pick a peach off the tree and eat it. I am spoiled I don't even like to eat the ones that have been picked the day before-just fresh off the tree! Now just think how fun it would be if we could pick an orange and a grapefruit off a tree!
We canned some peaches and also made some fruit leather.
