This must be what being a grandma is all about! We met Cassidy, Courtney and Grace along with their parents up Cottonwood for a night to go camping. We had a blast! First I do have to say that it was a lot more work to go camping with out the trailer than I could remember because we have had a camping trailer (or 3 different ones) for the past 20 years and I assume that someday we will have another one.
THIS IS HOW GRANDMA BABY SITS!
During this little camping trip we were thinking about Kendell. This would of been his favorite thing to do also. One summer he ask if he could just move up there and stay and "live off the land" for the summer-I told him "NO! because it is a dangerous world and there are crazy people around" I don't think I mentioned the real reason was because I would of missed him to much. I am sure he would of been safe and had a lot of fun. Maybe it would of prepared him better to live in Africa!
Landon did not get to go with us on this trip either, he had to stay home and make a little money. We got to go on a little 4 wheeling trip with him and Emily earlier in the week to make up for it.
We had a good time. Friday night Dave had brought a move and we watched in on his laptop under the stars, sounds romantic-but remember we were with the grand kids and we watched "Cars" a very cute movie. Cassidy and Courtney got to sleep in grandma and grandpa's tent just for fun and Cassidy said she did not even hear any snoring! I think she just wants to have the chance to sleep in there again sometime :)

Saturday after a nice and hardy breakfast Nathan gave a few "safety lessons" he got a new pistol and wanted to shoot it a bit. We all took a few turns.
Then we took the girls for a 4 wheeler ride. I had forgot how much that little girls scream! Nathan and I got laughing so hard we about fell of the 4 wheelers. Cute and fun little girls. Their favorite part was riding through the creek and making BIG splashes!
Then along in the afternoon all the "girls" played in the creek for a while. it was cold at first but I guess after our legs were all numb it was ok we stayed in there for over an hour.
But of course the REAL reason we had to get in the creek was to get the watermelon back out that had been there all night getting cold.

Looks like you had a fun time! Sometimes I wished I was a camper because there are so many good spots in the area to go camping, but alas, I love my bed and my flushing toilet too much!
We all had a lot of fun...why didn't we do this more often? :)
Little Nathan would be jealous that you watched Cars. That is his favorite movie and we accidentally left it in Idaho last time we were there. What a great camping trip!
