Winter run away

We started our little winter get away with Lenore and T.J. the funny thing is the only pictures I took was at this little cemetery in Beaver Dam. Not sure I would liked to buried there but it was fun to visit.
We enjoyed a huge breakfast in Mesquite and played some games and had a wonderful visit, and enjoyed the sunshine.
Nathan
This out to be right out of the old western movies.
After we left Lenore's and T.J.'s we went to spend a few days with Dave and Rae, our good friends who have just lived around the corner from us. They announced that they had bought a new house in St. George and would be moving down....permanently! LUCKY THEM!!!!

Look at the GREEN grass!

I guess we both just had to stand out on the green grass and enjoy it.
It has really been a snowy and cold winter at home, it was so nice to get away for a bit and see the sun!
We stopped in to visit the Ghost town of Graftin on our way to Zion's National Park.

This was the old school house.

How would you like to wake up to this view each morning? I Would!!

Nathan, Dave and Rae at a home in Grafton.

Then we went on to Zion's and we just could not believe how BLUE the sky was...I guess that is what the winter inversion did to us. We just sat there and stared at the sky. Look how blue it is!

We hiked up the narrows as far as we could but they had is chained off part way up.

These deer were just in the parking lot grazing.

The next day we rode out to Kyenta and had a fun look around. Rae called it an "Artsy Fartsy" town and that summed it up but it was fun. It had a pottery shop and little art and jewelry shops all around.

I do think the red rock is so pretty!

These are jus a few pictures around the little shops.

We had lunch in Ancestors square in St. George and walked around and saw some of the statues that they have all around the town.

This is a statue of the water master. The detail was awesome!
We loved this horse made out of "junk" Some one has a great imagination!

We had a fun time and was kind of sad to come home to the inversion and the snow, but I KNOW spring will really come to Utah soon!
