The Best thing about Christmas this year was that Kendell got to call home. Something that parents and I am sure missionaries both look forward to! He started calling about 6:30 a.m. but the phone connection was really bad and delayed and we could not hear each other, so he tried another phone, and another place, but after about 10 tries we finally could hear each other!!! Each time he hung up I was so afraid that he would not call back..but he did and we finally got a descent connection and could hear each other and had a nice visit. He said we would not believe where he was sitting to make the call, a little cubby hole with the phone sitting on a block of wood all covered with spider webs. It was a happy day to get to hear his voice!!! Candice, Melanie and Dave and the girls, and Landon were all here with Nathan and I to get to talk to him.**Next thing to look forward to** Mothers day!!!

Oh I remember those phone call moments! So sweet. Kinda miss them now.
I think missionary parents, grandparents & siblings all over Mormon-dom were waiting for "the" phone call today. I know Luana was going down to Lance & LuAnn's for Bethany's phone call.
What a trek. But he persisted & you finally got to talk to him. Yuck, spiders **shudder**
