Kings

I felt kind of sad today when we drove over to "Kings" and the sign on the door that said "Thanks for 46 years" and the door were closed and they were out of business! I have many memories of Kings. We always did all of our school shopping there and they had the neatest "toy land" around. You could practically find anything at Kings. One by one I have been watching these stores disappear and feel bad and like we are loosing a part of our history. No more five and dime stores. The only stores I am still aware of are ones in Preston, Montpelier and Rigby...little towns were Wal-mart does not exist.

Glad we still have a King's in Preston. We have an ALCO, but it's not the same as Wal-Mart.
